Toadstool Visitor

This toadstool is growing in the lawn on my next door neighbours property. Or at least it was until he removed it to mow the lawn!

It grew rapidly and 250mm across (10 inches) at the time of photographs.

Thought you might like to see it.

What an amazing toadstool. It looks almost like a pottery one!

that is huge could be used as a table for pixies or a seat for bigger people.

Lovely mushroom! I've developed quite the fascination for fungi this year with our wet winter here. Shame your neighbor couldn't mow around it for now, they disappear quite quickly on their own.

VERY cool! I always think of the little creatures who much use the toadstools as a temporary "outdoor patio"...think of them sitting back with a cocktail under the large canopy! OK...one too many cartoons, I guess! Great photos!!
