I am trying to ...Hi, Saw your post on Lachenalias. I am trying to get hold of bulbs of L pearsonii (a New Zealand hybrid, not available here in South Africa). I can order it from the Northern Hemisphere, but then the bulbs are out of synch with our seasons -- so Aussie or NZ would be ideal. By the way there is an indigenous L pearsonii from Namibia, but it has not been seen for more than 50 years, and was collected and described from only one specimen. What you call L pendula is now L bulbifera, and I would be happy to send you healthy seeds of that and also of L aloides var. quadricolor as an exchange for info if you are interested. The seeds of the latter were harvested this year in the wild from uncultivated land at the top of a "koppie" on a farm and are guaranteed healthy. Please email me at pgt@mweb.co.za (NOT my gmail address, which I don't use). Look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Pat TorngrenPat Törngrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15438573177607539108noreply@blogger.com
